Built on a fortress upon the Orba, the castle is guarded by the suburb that seems to be hanging in the time.
At the beginning of ’300 the circular tower rised isolated to control the passage in the valley from the high.
Enlarged during the end of the same century by Malaspina marquis, it successively belonged to the Trotti and the Grimaldi.
Transformed in residence during the Renaissance age, it has achieved the actual aspect around the end of ’700.
The chapel is precious, decorated with a “trompe l'œil” architecture, whereas the wine vaults fascinate for its dimensions and its archways armony.
In the historical park the topiary art is placed side by side to the aromatic plants and to the fruit pergola of the “secret garden”.
